Shannon L. CVPM – Practice Manager

She has worked in the veterinary field since 1991. She attended Albertus Magnus College and received an Associate Degree in Business Management. Shannon is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager as of August 2013, and in November of 2014, Shannon was awarded “Practice Manager of the Year” by the Veterinary Management Council of Connecticut. Before starting in the veterinary field she worked in “human medicine” at a doctor’s office and in a nursing home. Although that was rewarding, her love for animals won out and she hasn’t looked back.

Shannon and her husband Michael have five children that keep them very busy. She and her family have three kitties at home (Neil, Tank, and Mr. Willis), a dog (Cornbread), and ten free-range Guinea hens. When she does find some spare time she enjoys crocheting and running.

Sarah M. – Bookkeeper

She joined the Cats Limited team in 2006. She’s been around animals since before she could walk. She started riding horses at the age of 2 and her passion for animal care has blossomed greatly over the years.

Sarah majored in Business Management at The University of Connecticut, however, she spent a lot of her time on the other side of campus working at The Kellogg Dairy Center and participating in the UConn Dairy Club. After graduation, she became the office manager for a large/farm animal veterinarian in New York State. From there she moved to the Cats Limited family.

While animals are her greatest passion, she does also enjoy a number of other activities. When she’s not at work or spending time with her animals, she enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, reading, writing, painting, traveling, and appreciating nature.

Jen R. – Client Care Team Leader

She earned her Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Gateway Community College and worked in the communications field for 9 years prior to joining the Cats Limited Team in 2006. Jen has two cats (Will and Stinkers) that provide her with constant entertainment. Will is often the star of the Cats Limited Facebook page. One of her favorite pastimes is live music. She especially enjoys summer concerts with her husband and friends. She also enjoys baking, reading, shopping, going for long walks and hikes, traveling, and entertaining with friends and family.

Cory L. – Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator

She originally joined Cats Limited in 2005 as a Patient Care Coordinator. Cory re-joined the Cats Limited team in 2012 after working at a small animal practice. With degrees in Therapeutic Recreation from both Post College (Associates) and Springfield College (Bachelors), she has worked in Healthcare for 20 years as a Therapeutic Recreation Director. She was also a part of a New England based truck series race team (Pit Crew/Public Relations/Photographer) and was an Assistant Entertainment Coordinator for the CT Agricultural Fair.

Cory has spent her life raising, breeding and pet sitting all kinds of animals and was very active in 4-H and Pet Therapy. She also participates in local Relay for Life, Alzheimer’s and MS events. She has 2 cats (Ringo and Caramel), and a Brindle “Bug” (Boston Terrier/Pug Mix) named Guinness.

Cory volunteers at Shebeen Brewing Company in Wolcott on the weekends, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, family and friends and also loves music, hockey, racing, baseball, photography, camping, biking, kayaking and loves just being outside in nature.
